Joel started working as a licensed cosmetologist in 1996.
He received his initial training through Laney College Cosmetology Department, Oakland, and Supercuts in Rockridge. Joel
has completed additional cut and color training from numerous academies, including Matrix. L'Oreal, Redken, Rusk, and Paul
Mitchell. Joel was previously employed at Isa's Salon and Spa for 10 years and is currently located at Heads Up Hair Care,
Noe Valley, San Francisco. Joel specializes in creating and maintaining healthy hair.
